Me and Cherry Adair, NYT Bestselling author of Romantic Suspense. What a thrill to meet her and be the beneficiary of her wisdom. During her workshop I found myself nodding in agreement to her straightforward advice about publishing as a career. After her scheduled workshop, she was kind enough to give impromptu lectures on making a career plan and plotting. For someone at her level to take time to nurture (and knock sense into) a bunch of unpublished authors was inspiring.
I'd like to encourage anyone who hasn't attended the Spring Fling to put it on her calendar. They North Chicago ladies do a fabulous job. The next conference will be in 2012. Be there or be square.
