Well, I haven't gotten around to writing about this contest placement because I was kinda bummed not to have done better. Then tonight, I got a phone call from the coordinator who said that even though I didn't get a request from the final judge, I did get a referral. And since the referral is for a line I hadn't considered for this particular book, I'm a little overwhelmed. But very excited. I've heard an editor will refer a book on if it suits another line. I never thought it would happen to me.
The good news is, I've got a full manuscript ready to go. So, in the mail it goes before National.
And then the wait begins...
