Karen McInerney. She has 3 books out (Tales of an Urban Werewolf, a series) but I think she has a lot more in her and LOVE that it's set in Austin. I've seen her site and there are a few more books on there but seriously.....I think she is going to be one of the great PNR authors.

I would recommend Dave Pelzer and his memoir A CHILD CALLED "IT" This was his first book and he has written a couple sequels.

Yes, it was published some time ago but I found it to be disturbing and memorable.

I don't know many debut authors. Most of them have gone on to write more than a couple of books. But one would have to be Cheryl Brooks and then I'd also have to agree with someone else when they suggested Olivia Cunning.
